About me
My yoga journey began in childhood. Growing up, I was always drawn to the calming yet powerful presence of yoga in my family. By the age of 10, I started participating in yoga competitions and found myself immersed in a practice that not only challenged me physically but also brought balance and clarity to my mind. Over the years, I competed at various levels, from city championships to world championships, ultimately earning 52 medals for my dedication and skill.
Yoga has been my constant companion—through personal challenges, growth, and discovery. The recognition I received, such as the Yoga Pride Award and Youth Yoga Icon Award from the Sports of India, reinforced my passion, but it was never about the accolades. For me, yoga is about connection—between the body, mind, and breath—and it’s this connection that I strive to share with my students. Teaching became a natural evolution of my practice, and over the last five years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals on their own transformative journeys.
Certifications & Experience:
I hold advanced certifications in Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and Pranayama (breathing exercises). In addition to my extensive experience as a practitioner and competitor, I’ve completed multiple teacher training programs with a focus on holistic well-being, meditation, and specialized areas such as yoga for women’s health and pre/postnatal yoga. My five years of teaching experience has allowed me to work with students of all levels, from beginners looking to start their journey to advanced practitioners seeking to deepen their practice.
Yoga Style:
I specialize in a variety of yoga styles, each offering its unique benefits to students:
Hatha Yoga: A slower-paced practice focusing on foundational postures and breath awareness, perfect for beginners and those looking to connect deeply with their body.
Vinyasa Flow: A dynamic, flowing practice that links movement and breath, building strength, flexibility, and mental focus.
Pranayama & Breathing Exercises: Breathing is a powerful tool in yoga, and I focus on teaching students how to harness it for better physical health and mental clarity.
Meditation: I guide students through mindfulness practices that cultivate inner calm, emotional balance, and self-awareness.
Pre/Postnatal Yoga: Specialized yoga designed to support women through every stage of pregnancy and recovery, enhancing both physical and emotional well-being.
Pilates: I also incorporate Pilates techniques to complement yoga practice, focusing on core strength, flexibility, and overall body conditioning.
Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy revolves around inclusivity, mindfulness, and holistic well-being. I believe yoga is for everyone, regardless of age, ability, or background. My approach is grounded in the idea that yoga is more than a physical practice—it’s a tool for mental and emotional growth. By focusing on breath, alignment, and intention, I guide my students to cultivate self-awareness and compassion both on and off the mat.
In my classes, I create a safe, non-judgmental space where students can explore their practice at their own pace. I emphasize body positivity and encourage students to listen to their bodies, honoring where they are in each moment. Whether you're looking to improve your physical health, reduce stress, or simply find a sense of inner peace, my goal is to help you unlock the transformative power of yoga in your life.
